Sherman is an independent publication about Israeli startups and the people behind them. We don’t rewrite funding announcements — we find the move that made the funding possible. Deep dives, founder stories, and the mechanics of how this ecosystem actually works.
How we work
Every piece is built from public sources, interviews, and cross-verification. When a claim can’t be verified — an undisclosed ARR figure, a vanity metric — we say so. Nobody pays for coverage. The directory is curated, never sponsored.

Who’s behind it
Sherman was founded by Alex Sherman, a Tel Aviv–based startup advisor who has mentored dozens of early-stage Israeli companies. Born in the Baltics, raised in Russia — Israel is the first place that said “welcome home,” and Sherman is what came of taking that literally.
